3M is seeking a Quality Technician (rotating shifts) in Cottage Grove, MN. You will test and disposition products and raw materials, calibrate instrumentation, and support R&D by evaluating new methods, with a rotating schedule including overnight shifts.

The role requires lab experience, strong data reporting, and familiarity with Microsoft 365 tools. Eligible candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma/GED or higher (completed and verified prior to start)
  • Three (3) years of combined experience in a laboratory, pilot plant, or manufacturing facility in a private, public, government, or military environment
  • Expertise equivalent to an associate degree or higher in chemistry, physics, biology, or related fields
  • One year of experience in a quality control laboratory setting, preferably in manufacturing at an ISO 9001 or IATF 16949-certified facility
  • Experience with chromatography, molecular spectroscopy, and titrations
  • Experience in systems for the reporting and analysis of data in laboratory settings
  • Experience with the Microsoft 365 software platform, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams

Responsibilities

  • Testing and dispositioning manufactured products as well as raw materials using a variety of analytical techniques

Your Skills And Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

This range represents a good faith estimate for this position.
