Job summary

Diamond Pistons in Clinton Township, MI is seeking a Quality Technician to join our manufacturing team. You will work closely with manufacturing, line leads and operators to identify and fix quality issues, maintain documentation, and track performance to ensure parts meet our standards.

Responsibilities include defect prevention, PPAP support, data analysis, and inspections with a focus on safety and quality.

Qualifications

• High school diploma.
• At least 1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and Outlook) and SPC software.
• Clear verbal and written communication in English.
• Eligibility to work in the US without company sponsorship.
• A commitment to safety and quality.

Responsibilities

• Put safety first and never pass on a defect, no matter what leaves your hands.
• Work like a pit crew and bring innovation to finding better, faster and smarter ways to work.
• Investigate quality issues with fit, tolerances and materials and start corrective actions.
• Support customer requirements for PPAPs, control plans, A3s and data analysis.
• Manage the controlled document system, including final review of SOPs, work instructions and forms.
• Take part in critical and component inspections, working closely with manufacturing.
• Audit and track operator inspection compliance and share results with leads.
• Run scrap reports, update charts and report quality metrics.
• Take ownership of your work and look for ways to make it better.
• Help keep our workplace safe, organized and respectful.
