Job summary

Howmet Aerospace is hiring a Quality Technician at its Plant 10 in Whitehall, Michigan. In this role, you will be responsible for collecting product data, validating quality compliance, and conducting operator training.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED and at least one year of experience in a quality/inspection role within manufacturing. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with blueprints are preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of experience performing quality/inspection tasks in a manufacturing environment.
• Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
• PC experience required.

Job description

Responsibilities

As a QUALITY TECHNICIAN located in Plant 10, Whitehall Casting Operation, you will:

• Collect product data for analysis in support of continuous improvement.
• Validate quality system compliance and perform audits.
• Collect and prepare statistical data reports.
• Interpret specifications and blueprints.
• Conduct operator training.
• Comply with all EHS rules required for the work environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Successfully complete a training program to achieve customer certification.

Qualifications

Basic Requirements

• High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of one year experience performing quality/inspection tasks in a manufacturing environment.
• Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Quality Technician, Inspector, or Quality Auditor in a manufacturing environment.
• PC experience as well as Microsoft Office Suite.
• Familiarity with blueprints.
