Job summary

Merchants Metals LLC is seeking a Quality Technician to ensure consistent product quality across fencing lines. You will develop and maintain QC data collection systems, conduct in-process inspections, and drive root cause analysis to support a stable quality process.

Responsibilities include data collection, reporting, and collaboration with production leadership to address quality issues and implement corrective actions. A background in fencing or metal fabrication is preferred.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of QC or manufacturing experience (fencing or metal fabrication preferred).
• Strong understanding of mechanical measurements and weld inspection.
• Ability to read blueprints, specifications, and inspection criteria.
• Proficient in data collection, basic statistics, and problem-solving tools.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• QC data collection & reporting for all product lines.
• In-process & final inspection of chain-link, ornamental, and aluminum components.
• Root cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions.
• Process control & visual management on the shop floor.
• Communication & collaboration with production and leadership.
