Shift and Compensation

Shift: 11:00 PM - 7:30 AM

Hourly Rate: $24.05 an hour + $0.50 shift differential

Position Overview

As a Quality Technician, you will perform analysis on in-process and finished products and R&D samples to ensure specifications are met. You will make decisions on incoming raw materials and pre-shipment samples based on pre-established criteria. You will place defective product on hold following procedures, resolve and report defect issues, and communicate testing results. You will report to the QA Supervisor. The hourly pay rate is $24.05 with a shift differential of $0.50.

Essential Job Responsibilities

• Support quality work processes by documenting and tracking production variables, downtime, and product samples; ensure proper blending of raw materials; follow and document recipe specifications.
• Follow all Safe Quality Food (SQF) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
• Conduct area audits.
• Develop training materials, Standard Operating Procedures, and One Point Lessons (OPLs).
• Review analytical test results and production parameters.
• Perform line control to ensure compliance with standards.
• Inform team members of non-conforming results.
• Execute product hold procedures.
• Prepare and maintain laboratory testing reagents and equipment.
• Maintain lab supply inventory.
• Investigate consumer and customer complaints.
• Perform sensory analysis of products.
• Conduct HACCP line verifications and foreign material investigations.
• Complete HACCP and quality deviation reports.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of experience in production, manufacturing, food processing, or packaging environment.
• Proficiency in Infinity, SAP, or other production software.

Physical and Mental Requirements

• Sit or stand during duty hours.
• May be exposed to bloodborne pathogens, hazardous materials, and required protective activities.
• Operate monitoring equipment.
