Job summary

IGT is seeking a Quality Technician to join the Quality Engineering team in Reno. You will inspect materials, review quality issues, document findings, and support teams in resolving nonconforming material.

This role suits someone with hands-on experience in manufacturing, quality, inspection, testing, troubleshooting, electronics, or repair. You will use SAP to manage material status and help improve department processes. Join a team that values problem solving and collaboration.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years hands-on experience in manufacturing, quality, electronics, repair, or related field.
• Ability to inspect parts against drawings, specs and quality standards.
• Basic PC skills; MS Office proficiency.
• Follow work instructions and quality procedures; documentations.
• Good communication with production teams, suppliers and support groups.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds and work safely around tools and electrical components.
• Preferred: Associate degree in electronics, quality, manufacturing or related field.
• Experience using bench tools (meters, oscilloscopes, soldering).
• Experience with SAP, Enovia, Word, PowerPoint, Excel or similar systems.

Responsibilities

• Inspect nonconforming material from Operations, warehouses, and IGT locations.
• Document findings clearly and accurately; confirm material issues.
• Coordinate resolution of rejected/nonconforming material.
• Use SAP to move, scrap, receive, or update material status.
• Inspect parts, assemblies, and finished material for accuracy and function.
• Compare products to drawings, BOMs, workmanship standards, and specs.
• Perform basic electrical, mechanical, and component-level testing as needed.
• Report quality issues to the appropriate team or management.
• Collaborate with production, suppliers and support teams to resolve parts issues.
• Review quality data and help improve department processes.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
