Job Summary

The Quality Technician II will be responsible for supporting the quality control processes to ensure that processes, products, and services meet the required quality standards. This position requires a detail-oriented individual who has strong analytical skills and can identify defects and deviations in processes, products, and services.

Responsibilities
  • Reviews and interprets drawings, specifications, and other technical documents to determine requirements.
  • Monitors, measures, analyzes, evaluates, and documents the conformity of processes, products, and services through inspections, such as receiving, first article, in-process, pre-shipment, or rework inspections.
  • Collaborates closely with Production and Engineering teams to identify and resolve quality issues.
  • Controls and processes nonconforming outputs in a timely manner.
  • Supports root cause analysis and implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
  • Maintains monitoring and measuring resources by completing preventive maintenance, safeguarding equipment from damage, troubleshooting malfunctions, and obtaining necessary repairs or servicing.
  • Plans Quality activities, which may include development or participation in the development of balloon drawings, FMEAs, process flow diagrams, control plans, measurement system analyses (MSA), capability studies, and statistical process control (SPC).
  • Provides expert support to manufacturing by applying quality control techniques to ensure that processes, products, and services meet the required quality standards.
  • Conducts internal audits to ensure compliance with documented information and quality standards.
  • Assists in the preparation of quality reports and metrics.
  • Performs duties and tasks defined in applicable procedures and work instructions with precision and attention to detail.
  • Perform other duties & responsibilities as assigned or apparent.
Other Duties
  • Take personal responsibility for engaging in safety practices and maintaining a clean, safe work environment while ensuring the production of high-quality processes, products, and services.
  • Serve as a qualified and trained backup in the event of another employee’s absence.
  • Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, work instructions, and procedures.
  • Undertake special projects and additional responsibilities as required.

Qualifications
  • High School Degree or Equivalent (required).
  • Associate degree in a technical field (preferred).
  • Quality related skills and knowledge normally acquired through a 2-year technical school program OR 4 years of relevant job experience related to manufacturing and/or quality assurance.
  • Demonstrated ability to read part drawings, work instructions, and other technical documents.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills, enabling the provision of meaningful feedback to both internal and external customers.
  • Strong mathematical abilities, including proficiency in statistics and trigonometry.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in using Microsoft Office and related Quality software.
  • Certification as a Certified Quality Inspector (CQI) or Certified Quality Technician (CQT) by the American Society for Quality (ASQ).
  • Strong visual acuity, particularly near vision for inspection and reading gages. Depth perception and hand-eye coordination to assemble, set‑up, and use gages effectively.
  • Ability to perform light to medium work, including occasional exertion, frequent lifting, pushing, pulling, reaching, and handling materials and parts from racks, skids, carts, and benches. Lifting to 25 lbs.

  • The hourly pay for this position is $25.77 per hour with the ability to earn up to $30.78.
