Job summary

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent; an Associate's degree in a technical field is preferred.
  • 1–3 years of experience in quality control or manufacturing, preferably electronics.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
  • Experience with inspection tools: calipers, micrometers, gauges, optical comparators.
  • Basic understanding of SPC and ISO 9001 quality management systems.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel).

Responsibilities

  • Perform in-process, final, and incoming inspections of components and finished goods according to quality plans.
  • Conduct tests with appropriate equipment and record results accurately.
  • Identify, document, and report non-conforming materials or products; initiate corrective actions.
  • Assist in root cause investigations and support preventive actions.
  • Collaborate with production, engineering, and other departments to resolve quality issues.
  • Maintain accurate quality records and inspection reports per procedures.
  • Support audits by providing necessary documentation and data.
  • Communicate with external customers as needed.
  • Participate in calibration and maintenance of QC equipment.
  • Adhere to safety regulations and company policies.

Location: Memphis, Tennessee

Job Summary

The Quality Technician II is responsible for performing quality control activities to ensure products meet established standards and specifications throughout the manufacturing process. This role involves inspection, testing, and documentation to uphold Jabil's commitment to quality excellence.

Job Responsibilities
  • Perform in-process, final, and incoming inspections of components and finished goods according to quality plans and engineering specifications.
  • Conduct various tests using appropriate equipment (e.g., calipers, micrometers, CMM, visual inspection tools) and record results accurately.
  • Identify, document, and report non-conforming materials or products, initiating corrective actions as needed.
  • Assist in the investigation of root causes for quality issues and support the implementation of preventive measures.
  • Collaborate with production, engineering, and other departments to resolve quality-related problems and improve processes.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed quality records, inspection reports, and documentation in accordance with company procedures.
  • Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and data.
  • Communicate with external customers.
  • Participate in the calibration and maintenance of quality control equipment.
  • Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies.
Job Qualifications
