Job summary

Jabil in Prince George, VA is seeking a Quality Inspector/Technician to support a new startup manufacturing large form-factor equipment. You will perform inspections, document nonconformances, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the build.

You will work onsite at the Prince George facility, using calipers, micrometers, and other tools to verify assemblies meet engineering drawings and specs; contribute to ongoing quality improvements and process validation.

Qualifications

• Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, schematics, and technical specifications.
• Proficiency with inspection tools and measurement equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify defects and nonconformances.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with analytical problem-solving ability.
• Basic computer skills (MS Office) and ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Perform in-process and final inspections of assemblies, components, and materials to support production and quality goals.
• Conduct visual, dimensional, and functional inspections using measuring/test equipment.
• Verify products meet drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
• Identify, document, and report nonconforming materials, processes, and products.
• Support containment, root-cause analysis, corrective actions, and investigations.
• Maintain inspection records, quality docs, and test data.
• Collaborate with Production, Engineering, and Supply Chain to resolve quality concerns.
• Assist in developing and improving inspection procedures and quality plans.
• Support internal/process audits and quality-system activities.
• Contribute to factory startup activities, including process validation and training.
