Job summary

Smeal, a REV Group brand, seeks a Quality Technician to support QA processes and NFPA 1901/1900 and UL requirements. The role focuses on reducing defects across the value stream and providing clear quality reporting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Detail oriented with strong analytical, communication and problem solving skills.
• Exccellent communication skills both written and verbal.

• Strong interpersonal skills working in team environment.
• Ability to read relevant measuring equipment.
• Provide appropriate feedback and documentation of any defects.
• Self-motivated with the ability to stay on task.
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
• Must follow all Safety guidelines.

• Ability to embrace change.

Responsibilities

• Promote the expectation that team members will consider the impact of their work/actions on others and make deliberate decisions to act in ways which prevent rework or constraints on the process.
• Promote systems and processes which enhance the team’s ability to meet customer expectations (NFPA 1901 regulations, Buy/Sell Agreements, UL requirements)
• Act as mediator when needed to clarify customer expectations and provide feedback to manufacturing supervision
• Perform Pre-Delivery Inspections of completed processes in designated buy/sell areas
• Perform data entry, analysis and sharing/explanation of information
• Generate Quality reports and be able to explain information
• Validate all critical and safety items as required by the Build Book
• Review all deviations, quality alerts, and stop shipments
• Perform audits of new and existing processes
• Writing documents and document control (examples: UL documentation, UL certifications)
• Facilitate/Participate in Root Cause Analysis, Practical Problem Solving, etc.
