Job summary

Seal & Design Inc is seeking a Quality Assurance Technician to perform QA activities on incoming, manufactured, and tooling. You will inspect products, document results, and support corrective actions while collaborating with Production, Engineering, Sales, Purchasing, and Shipping.

The role involves first-piece qualification, FAIRs, and use of a vision system and metrology tools. Strong reading of blueprints, Lean 5S, and team collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

• AA in a technical field or 3–5 years related experience.
• Proficient with business software and MS Office.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 standards.
• Experience using calipers, tape measures, and micrometers.
• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings; Lean 5S understanding.
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Qualify first-piece fabrication product and perform random quality checks; stop production to correct quality problems.
• Complete all phases of first article approval processes (FAIRs).
• Utilize vision system inspection machines and other testing equipment.
• Audit shop floor activities for compliance with standards and customer requirements.
• Inspect and qualify resale items and tooling used in fabrication.
• Maintain records and procedures in compliance with standards.
