Job summary

Tarkett, a global leader in flooring solutions, is seeking a Quality Technician I at the Chagrin Falls, OH plant. You will support core quality processes, calibration programs, color measurements, and documentation to ensure reliable operations and compliance.

Responsibilities include audits, data analysis, RCA, and teamwork with production and lab teams to drive continuous improvement, while maintaining a strong focus on safety.

Qualifications

  • High-school diploma required; technical or associate degree preferred.
  • 3–5 years of experience in quality, laboratory or process control.
  • Familiarity with quality management systems and structured problem-solving.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; ability to learn quality software.
  • Must pass color-vision test and lift up to 50 lbs as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate safe work practices in quality and production activities.
  • Provide day-to-day support to production to ensure color standards and inspection records are accurate.
  • Conduct process audits to verify compliance with work instructions and quality requirements.
  • Perform and review color measurements; analyze data and collaborate on color shifts and new product development.
  • Maintain calibration program: scheduling, recordkeeping, and verification of instruments; track status and communicate needs to operators and supervisors.
  • Process, collect and organize claim data; support root-cause analysis and corrective actions; ensure records are complete.
  • Identify opportunities to simplify or strengthen quality processes and support continuous improvement.

This role provides hands-on process support, manages calibration and documentation activities, assists with color analysis and supports claims through effective problem solving and corrective actions, while maintaining a strong focus on workplace safety.Key Responsibilities* Demonstrate and promote safe work practices in all quality and production activities.
