Job summary

Chart Industries, Inc. in Canton, GA is seeking a quality-focused professional to ensure product and process conformance. The role covers data analysis, audits, and daily use of precision tools in a manufacturing setting.

The candidate will inspect materials and finished goods, initiate nonconformances, support QMS updates, and collaborate across teams to improve standards and procedures. Occasional overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• Experience in a quality role with manufacturing experience preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints and work orders.
• Intermediate to advanced math skills.
• Proven ability to identify and solve intermediate non-conformities.
• Must be available to work overtime and weekends.
• Some knowledge of ISO procedures is a plus.
• Welding knowledge or experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide analysis of data and write summaries to validate or show deviations from existing standards.
• Handle moderately complex issues and refer highly complex issues to higher-level staff.
• Utilize tools (such as caliper, micrometer, optical comparator, CMM) in daily tasks.
• Participate in product, process and Quality Management System audits.
• Process reject material from production.
• Inspect products to ensure conformance to established quality standards.
• Initiate nonconformance reports.
• Initiate revisions for Quality Management System documentation.
• Conduct sample receiving inspections on purchased parts.
• Gather gas samples in support of product gas analysis.
• Issue production line Certificates of Compliance (CoC’s).
• Conduct chemical analysis.
• Inspect incoming material (FAI) and final product.
• Perform leak tests through bubbles and tracer gas sniffing.
• Recommend modifications to existing or suggests new standards, methods and procedures.

Your Physical Work Environment Will Require…

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk and sit. Frequently uses hands to handle or feel objects, tools or controls and reach with hands and arms. Occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl. Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, color evaluations and the ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles. Moderate to loud noise level in the work environment

Your Experience Should Be...

• Experience working in a quality role with strong preference for candidates manufacturing
• Experience reading and interpreting blueprints and work orders
• Intermediate to advanced math skills (weight measurement, volume, distance, multiplication, division, percentage and conversions)
• Proven ability to identify, reason and problem solve intermediate non-conformities and deviations
• Must be available to work overtime and weekend hours due to business need
• Some knowledge of ISO procedures, a plus
• Welding knowledge or experience is a plus
