Eaton's ES AMER ESS division is hosting a Quality Technician Hiring Event at our Oakleys Dr location in Richmond, VA. The role offers a $22.71/hour wage and a $2,000 sign-on bonus for eligible candidates on 2nd and 3rd shifts.

Join us to help inspect parts, identify NC issues, and drive continuous improvement across production lines. Candidates should be prepared to discuss shifts and availability during interviews.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required from an accredited educational institution.
• Relocation assistance is not available; only candidates in the immediate area.
• ASQ Quality Technician Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform part and product inspections, document results, and quarantine NC parts.
• Determine root cause of non-conforming parts.
• Verify First Article Inspection (FAI) of all production lines.
• Create Quality Alerts and notify operators of quality issues.
• Investigate non-conforming product and resolve issues using problem-solving methods.
• Support pre-production quality planning and process reviews.

Eaton's ES AMER ESS division is currently seeking a Quality Technician - HIRING EVENT at our Oakleys Dr location in Richmond, VA.

The hourly rate for this position is $22.71 per hour.

The specific shift, work schedule, and any applicable shift differential will be confirmed when an offer of employment is extended.

Candidates should indicate all shifts they are willing and able to work during the interview process.

This site is currently offering a $2,000 sign-on bonus for eligible new hires on 2nd and 3rd shifts.

What you'll do:

• Perform part and product inspections, document the results, identify and quarantine Non-Conforming (NC) parts
• Determine the Root Cause of Non-Conforming Parts
• Verify First Article Inspection (FAI) of all production lines
• Perform Control and Process audits as scheduled
• Report inspections and audits using Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
• Create Quality Alerts and notify operators of quality issues
• Investigate Non-Conforming Product, use problem-solving techniques to resolve issues
• Contribute to pre-production quality planning, including developing Quality Assembly documents, attending product and process reviews and technical training of production personnel
• Support Manufacturing Engineering in machine capability studies for new and existing machines
• Support Gage Calibration System
• Comply with and ensure department compliance with Company health, safety and environmental policies

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED required from an accredited educational institution
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship
• Relocation assistance is not available for this position. Only candidates in the immediate geographical area (50 mile radius) will be considered. Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Ability to read and interpret drawings and schematics
• Associate degree in electronics, electrical engineering technology or other technical degree
• ASQ Quality Technician Certification preferred
• 3 to 5 years of work experience as a Quality Technician, preferably in the Power industry
• Six Sigma and Lean certifications and/or experience
• Statistical Process Control
• Understanding of delta-wye 3 phases transformer and resistive load bank technology

Skills:

Position Criteria:

• Individual may be required to sit, stand and walk regularly
• Individual must be able to lift up to 50 pounds throughout work shift .
• Individual may be required to stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb, reach, push and/or pull.
