Eaton’s ES GDCO division is seeking a Quality Technician to join the Worcester, MA team. The role supports QA activities, inspection, testing, and documentation to uphold quality standards and drive continuous improvement.

The hourly rate for this position is $22.00 per hour.

Shift: 10:00am-6:00pm OR 12:00pm-8:00pm, choose which shift works best for your schedule!

Position Overview:

As a Quality Technician, you will play a vital role in supporting quality assurance activities and ensuring product compliance with quality standards and specifications. You will assist in the inspection, testing, and documentation of products and processes to maintain quality and drive continuous improvement.

• Conduct inspection and testing of incoming materials, components, and finished products according to established procedures, specifications, and standards.
• Perform dimensional and visual inspections using precision measurement tools, gauges, and equipment to verify product conformance and identify non-conformities. Perform testing outlined in test methods and procedures.
• Record inspection and test results accurately and completely, documenting findings, measurements, and observations in quality records and databases.
• Assist in the identification, segregation, and disposition of non-conforming materials and products, collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement corrective actions and prevent recurrence.
• Support calibration and maintenance of inspection and test equipment, ensuring accuracy, reliability, and traceability of measurements.
• Participate in quality audits, process evaluations, quality investigations, and continuous improvement activities, providing input and feedback to enhance product quality and performance.
• Follow safety protocols, procedures, and regulations while performing quality assurance activities, ensuring a safe work environment for yourself and others.

Qualifications:

Required:

• High school diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in quality assurance, inspection, or a related field (preferably in a manufacturing or production environment.)
• No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of the work location will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

Preferred Qualifications:

• At least 1 years’ experience in industrial manufacturing environment
• At least 6 months hand assembly experience.
• Technical training or certification in quality assurance, inspection, or related areas.
• At least 1 year of experience with quality management software/systems (e.g., ERP, QMS).
• At least 1 year experience with welding and weld defects.
• At least 1 year previous experience in a regulated industry (e.g., medical devices, aerospace).

Position Criteria:

• Basic knowledge of quality management principles, practices, and tools.
• Familiarity with inspection techniques, measurement tools, and quality control methods.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, bill of materials, and technical documents.
• Basic computer skills (Ability to use Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint for managing data; Ability to use Microsoft Teams for communication and navigating; ability to utilize Frontier ERP; Ability to use Lotus Notes for reporting and accessing procedures)
• Proficiency in using measurement tools and equipment, such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in performing inspections, tests and documentation.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Knowledge of ISO standards and regulatory requirements.
• Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma principles and methodologies.
