Job summary

Kerry's Seattle, WA facility seeks a Quality Technician to ensure product quality, food safety and regulatory compliance throughout manufacturing. The role performs inspections, tests, and monitors processes in a fast-paced environment, aligned with GMPs and SQF.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Biology, Microbiology, or Chemistry or related experience ideal.
• 2–3 years in quality role in food, pharma or chemical production preferred.
• HACCP and SQF principles training ideal.
• Organizational and prioritization skills required.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and SAP.
• Knowledge of FDA, Local, State, Federal regulations pertinent for the manufacturing facility.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-operational inspections to verify equipment and production areas are clean, sanitary, and ready for startup.
• Conduct quality inspections and testing of raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods.
• Monitor production processes to ensure compliance with food safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
• Document inspection and test results accurately and maintain quality records.Identify, report, and support resolution of quality and food safety issues.
• Conduct GMP, sanitation, and environmental monitoring audits.
• Support investigations, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Partner with Production, Maintenance, and Operations teams to maintain product quality and compliance.
• Follow all safety policies, procedures, and regulatory standards

Education

Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Biology, Microbiology, or Chemistry

2-3 years in Quality role in food, pharma or chemical production
