Qualifications

  • Associate degree in Electronics Technology or related field; equivalent experience considered.

  • Two or more years of experience in electronics testing, troubleshooting, quality inspection, failure analysis, or manufacturing support.
  • Experience troubleshooting PCBAs and electronic assemblies.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical documentation.
  • Proficiency using oscilloscopes, multimeters, and other electronic test equipment.
  • Hands-on soldering and PCB rework experience (SMT and through-hole).
  • Experience with quality systems, RMAs, non-conformance management, or corrective action processes preferred.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and manufacturing environments preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and debug PCB assemblies using oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, and other electronic test equipment.
  • Probe signals, trace circuits, and identify component-level failures.
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, assembly drawings, and technical documentation.
  • Analyze production defects and customer-returned products to identify failure modes.
  • Support root cause investigations and corrective action activities.
  • Document findings and prepare technical reports for each product analysis.
  • Support the Returned Material Authorization (RMA) process, including receipt, evaluation, and disposition of returned products.
  • Conduct failure analysis on customer-returned products and document findings.
  • Work with Customer Service and Engineering to ensure timely resolution of customer quality issues.
  • Maintain accurate records for all RMA investigations and dispositions.
  • Perform PCB rework, soldering, and component replacement on SMT and through-hole assemblies.
  • Conduct functional testing to verify repairs and corrective actions.
  • Ensure products meet performance, quality, reliability, and safety requirements.
  • Support product validation and verification testing as required.
  • Maintain quality records, inspection data, test results, and analysis reports.
  • Support non-conformance investigations and corrective action processes.
  • Assist with continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and manufacturing performance.
  • Ensure compliance with company quality procedures and applicable standards.

Position Summary

We are seeking a Quality Technician (Electronics / PCBA) with hands‑on experience in electronic assemblies and printed circuit board assemblies (PCBAs) to support testing, troubleshooting, failure analysis, and quality improvement activities. This role is responsible for diagnosing electronic product issues, supporting root cause investigations, evaluating returned products, and maintaining quality documentation.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, technically curious, and comfortable working directly with electronic hardware in both laboratory and manufacturing environments. This position works closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Customer Service, and Supply Chain teams to improve product quality and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
PCB Testing, Troubleshooting & Failure Analysis
  • Troubleshoot and debug PCB assemblies using oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, and other electronic test equipment.
  • Probe signals, trace circuits, and identify component-level failures.
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, assembly drawings, and technical documentation.

RMA & Customer Return Support

  • Support product validation and verification testing as required.
Quality Systems & Documentation
  • Maintain quality records, inspection data, test results, and analysis reports.
  • Support non-conformance investigations and corrective action processes.
  • Assist with continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and manufacturing performance.
  • Ensure compliance with company quality procedures and applicable standards.
ERP & Material Management Support
  • Process material movements and transactions within the ERP system related to inspections, RMAs, and non-conforming material.
  • Assist with inventory tracking, material disposition, and traceability requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records to support audits and quality system requirements.
Laboratory Support
  • Assist with product testing, validation, and quality verification activities.
  • Maintain laboratory equipment, test fixtures, and calibration records.
  • Ensure compliance with ESD controls, laboratory safety requirements, and established procedures.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Work closely with Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Customer Service teams.
  • Identify recurring product quality issues and communicate trends.
  • Participate in continuous improvement and quality review activities.
Qualifications
  • Associate degree in Electronics Technology, Electrical Technology, Quality Technology, or a related technical discipline; equivalent experience considered.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field is a plus.
  • Two or more years of experience in electronics testing, troubleshooting, quality inspection, failure analysis, or manufacturing support.
  • Experience troubleshooting PCBAs and electronic assemblies.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical documentation.
  • Proficiency using oscilloscopes, multimeters, and other electronic test equipment.
