Quality Technician – Electro-Mechanical Assembly Group

We are seeking a meticulous and skilled Quality Technician to join our Electro-Mechanical Assembly Group, specializing in LED light fixtures. Job Overview:
The Quality Technician will inspect and test electro-mechanical assemblies and LED fixtures to ensure they meet specifications related to mechanical, electrical, and optical performance. This role includes developing and maintaining quality control plans, ensuring full traceability of components and assemblies, and collaborating with production and engineering teams to improve quality processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough inspections of electro-mechanical assemblies and finished LED fixtures to verify compliance with product specifications.
  • Perform functional, visual, and electrical testing on assemblies, ensuring wiring and mechanical components meet design and safety requirements.
  • Utilize precision measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, and multimeters to verify dimensions and performance.
  • Develop and maintain quality control plans and inspection procedures for production processes.
  • Ensure traceability of components and assemblies through accurate documentation and recordkeeping.
  • Record, analyze, and report inspection results, ensuring that defects and non-conformities are identified, documented, and addressed.
  • Collaborate with production and engineering teams to resolve quality issues, implement corrective actions, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Support the development of testing protocols for new products and assemblies.
  • Perform internal audits and assist in driving the company toward ISO certification.
  • Maintain quality documentation and test records while ensuring a clean and safe work environment.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; BS in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering is a plus.
  • Proven experience (2–4 years) in quality control or testing of electro-mechanical assemblies, ideally within the LED, lighting, or electronics industry.
  • Familiarity with assembly and testing of LED fixtures, including electrical components, soldering techniques, and circuit board assembly.
  • Experience with precision mechanical inspection tools, such as calipers, micrometers, and multimeters.
  • Practical knowledge of quality systems and manufacturing process control.
  • Excellent attention to detail, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel).
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to lift and move materials, components, or assemblies as necessary (if applicable).
