Job summary

Schaller Corporation in Chesterfield, MI is seeking a Quality Technician for Day Shift 6:00am–2:30pm or Midnight Shift 11:00pm–7:30am. You will inspect parts, measure with calipers/micrometers, tag non-conforming parts, and analyze data to ensure product quality for automotive supply chains.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of Quality experience utilizing check fixtures, calipers and micrometers.
• Must be a self-starter with good written and verbal communication skills.
• Well organized with good written and verbal communication skills.
• Must be dependable and motivated.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and monitor parts to ensure quality parts are produced and delivered.
• Set-up and check dimensions on parts using metrology instruments.
• Red tag and create repair orders for non-conforming parts.
• Perform gaged studies and capability studies.
• Interface with the Quality Manager to address quality issues.
• Enter data from paper documents for record keeping purposes.
• Check, sort, and file paperwork.
• Continuous improvement of activities and various other duties as required by the department.

Quality Technician Wages:

• Wages start at $18.00 and up depending on experience level.
• Shift Premium for Afternoon and Midnight Shifts
• Overtime may be required.
