Parker Hannifin Corporation in Dayton, OH is seeking a Quality Technician (CMM / Gage Lab) on 2nd shift. The role focuses on validating conformance of complex aerospace components using CMM and gages, with emphasis on precision, documentation, and safety.
Qualified candidates will have 3–5 years of aerospace inspection experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and strong GD&T skills. The position requires lifting up to 35 lbs and overtime as needed.
This position is subject to meeting U.S. export compliance and/or U.S. Government contracting citizenship eligibility requirements.
Parker Lord's Dayton facility manufactures passive vibration mounts for commercial and military aerospace applications. Responsible for validating conformance of complex machined aerospace components using multiple inspection methodologies including hard gaging and CMM inspection.
Conduct 1st piece set-up, first articles, in-process, and final inspection
Conduct CMM inspections of parts, gages, and tooling to verify conformance with stated requirements
Utilize and/or calibrate gages such as ring, plug thread ring, thread plug, snap gages, micrometers, dial Indicators, CMM, surface plates, electronic gages, or other precision measuring instruments in accordance with established requirements
Utilize inspection procedures and any other documentation, as needed and/or requested
Supports other areas of the Quality Department including Receiving Inspection, etc.
Adheres to all safety guidelines and procedures
Other assignments as required
Knowledge of blueprint interpretation, drawings, specifications
Knowledge of GD&T and inspection methodologies
Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
Demonstrated ability to solve complex technical problems with limited information
Ability to carry/ lift up to 35 lbs. (50% of the time). Must have the ability to stand, kneel, squat, stoop, use fingers and hands to feel, lift or handle tools, parts and equipment.
5 years of prior Machining experience
