Job summary

The Parker Hannifin Maintenance Technician - 2nd Shift in Dayton, OH performs repair and maintenance on hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and mechanical systems across the site, with emphasis on safety and LEAN project participation. This role requires hands-on problem solving and the ability to read electrical and mechanical drawings.

Responsibilities include installing and repairing machinery, maintaining piping systems, and supporting manufacturing equipment with limited supervision.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • Minimum 2 years of machine repair, electrical or general maintenance experience.
  • 3-5 years of machine repair, electrical and general maintenance experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to solve complex technical problems with limited information.
  • Able to communicate effectively with management and co-workers to promote teamwork.
  • Flexible with work and job assignments and willing to perform any function as needed.
  • Must be dependable and available to work overtime when required.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office including Outlook.
  • Self-motivated and able to work effectively with limited supervision.
  • Experience with FANUC and Siemens controls preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Basic repair abilities in hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical, electronic, steam systems, plumbing, and HVAC.
  • Installs and repairs electrical apparatus, such as transformers, motors, and wiring with some direction.
  • Lays out, assembles, installs, and maintains pipe systems (water, chemical, hydraulic, and pneumatic).
  • Repairs and replaces gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and related equipment.
  • Installs, maintains, and repairs machining equipment, transfer presses, process lines, and other general facility and production equipment with some direction.
  • Cleans, inspects, and lubricates shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery as part of PM schedules.
  • Reads and interprets equipment operating Instructions and electrical/mechanical drawings to perform repairs.
  • Acts in LEAN projects and adheres to safety guidelines.

Essential Job Functions
  • Basic repair abilities in the areas of hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical, electronic, steam systems, plumbing, and HVAC
