What will you do?
- Inspect and approve incoming material by confirming engineering specifications, conducting visual and/or measurement tests. Includes rejecting and returning unacceptable material if applicable.
- Manage measurement tools within incoming inspection lab. Lead calibration efforts within the facility for all measurement tools and/or gages to ensure ISO 9001 compliance.
- Utilize digital tools to ensure quality inspections are completed with corrective actions identified and implemented.
- Collect and compile statistical quality data.
- Prepare reports to communicate outcomes of quality activities.
- Ensure component conformity to engineering drawings by managing incoming inspection & metrology activities inside the plant and ensure the safety of persons and property in the working area.
- Perform Measurement System Analysis (Gage R&R).
- Manage the calibration program of measurement equipment for the plant.
What qualifications will make you successful?
- Communication: Communicate quality defects to production associates and supervisors during SIM meetings. Escalate major production issues to Team Leads, Quality Engineers & Supervisors.
- Procedures/Policies: Model and maintain adherence to Schneider Electric rules, guidelines, and procedures. Have knowledge or willingness to develop knowledge of HR, Quality, Safety & Environmental policies/procedures. Ensure compliance with Safety and Quality procedures.
- Safety: Support and act as Safety Champion. Ensure safety guidelines and PPE are used within the plant. Complete safety audits as required.
- Quality: Support quality initiatives. Conduct daily in-process audits, product and parts inspection, and defect review. Perform toll gate inspection for materials shipped to sister plants. Support in-house product testing requirements.
- Computer Skills/Software: Effectively use and quickly learn manufacturing computer systems and Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Access, etc.). Develop skills in ODM+, Engineering Viewer, Order Editor, Gainseeker, Smart Factory tools, and LDS.
