Job summary

aliaxis in Kingman, AZ seeks a Quality Assurance Technician C to perform inspect, test, verify and advise across QA functions, with 12-hour rotating day and night shifts.

You will work with line operators and maintenance, document results, calibrate instruments, maintain 5S, and ensure products meet industry standards; strong measurement and math skills required.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma (or equivalent); Experience with plastic extrusion process preferred.
  • Forklift certificate (internal training available).
  • Proficiency with micrometers, OD tape, vernier calipers, measuring tapes; (must pass QA measuring test ≥ 80%) within 90 days of hire.
  • Knowledge of basic mathematics.
  • Use Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook, and SharePoint to record and communicate quality information.
  • Identify instruments requiring calibration, perform basic verification checks, and report equipment issues promptly.
  • Apply safe work practices, handle chemicals responsibly, maintain clean and organized work areas using 5S principles, and actively identify hazards.

  • Perform all other duties as required.

Job Purpose & Description

The role of Quality Assurance Technician C requires consistent performance across the four core QA functions: inspect, test, verify, and advise. We have a 12-hour rotating day shift from 6:45am-7pm available and a 12-hour rotating night shift from 6:45pm-7am.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain plant Health and Safety.
  • Measure all new start, and in production products, and perform all tests on manufactured, trial/complaint samples, and new products, ensuring that they meet all company and industry standards as outlined in the IPEX Quality Management Manual (QMS)
  • Report all nonconformities to management.
  • Accurately document all measuring and testing results.
  • Visually inspect daily production as outlines in the QMS per product classification
  • Print and apply production labels as needed.
  • Assist in calibrating and recording in‑house instruments and gauges when necessary.
  • Update and maintain applicable databases.
  • Complete verifications and data collection.

Key Relationships

Daily interaction with Line Operators, Shift Supervisors/Leads, Maintenance, DC, Material Handling, Shipping, and Quality Assurance and Plant leadership.

Working Conditions

Mostly work indoors in manufacturing environment with long periods of standing/walking.Progressive degrees of changing factors in the work process.Exposure to a moderate level of hazards in the work environment, such as chemicals, commercial products, exposure to potential toxins, moving machinery, repetitive motion, excessive noise and distracting noise levels, powered industrial vehicle fork/reach/ bucket lift/other.Required to perform a moderate level of specific tasks such as lifting up to 35 lbs, muscular action, body movements, working positions, posture changes, visual attentiveness.Required to wear protective eyewear, reflective safety clothing, appropriate gloves, hearing protection, respiratory protection, safety shoes, hard hat, and/or other.Work always requires sensory attention.The incumbent understands, respects and adheres to the workplace Health & Safety rules, 5-S, and housekeeping expectations of the Kingman facility.
