Job description

Job Title: Quality Technician B
Job Location: Londonderry, NH

Essential Responsibilities:
• Review night vision and laser product/component specifications and provide design/test guidance to meet EMI/EMC, battery, and audibility requirements
• Analyze design failure modes and effects of electronic circuits and mechanical packaging to identify and mitigate EMI/EMC, battery, and audibility risks
• Support test lab equipment development and maintenance
• Perform and/or oversee night vision and laser product/component EMI/EMC (MIL-STD-461/464), battery, and audibility tests
• Facilitate external tests, including quoting, sourcing, and scheduling. Including the assessment of external lab capabilities to meet expectations.
• Analyze test failures and develop corrective action to resolve conducted/radiated emission/susceptibility, laser, and battery issues, with detailed guidance on electronic circuit/mechanical packaging filters, shielding, and protection
• Analyze test data and create/develop test reports/summaries
• Communicate/publish test data/reports/summaries to internal/external customers
• Technical liaison activities with internal/external customers to resolve/clarify test pass/fail disputes regarding specifications/requirements and test data/reports
• Collaborate with Engineering on the development and continual improvement of design guidelines/standards based on lessons learned and standardized test procedures/reports to ensure compliance with current and new internal/external specifications/standards
• Develop highly accelerated life test standard methods/techniques

Basic Qualifications:
• Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 4 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience
• Ability to obtain DoD SECRET security clearance

Preferred Qualifications:
• Current DoD SECRET security clearance
• Associates degree in Electrical Technology
• 1-3 years of EMI/EMC test experience working with EMI/EMC chambers, audibility chambers, amplifiers, antennas, receivers, signal/surge generators, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, laser power supplies/meters, and multimeters
• Experience with/in EMI/EMC design simulation/analysis software, night vision and laser product/component related design, test and/or manufacturing, design/testing of printed circuit board/assemblies, high speed serial communication systems, and technical project management.
Required Attributes:
• Thorough knowledge in EMI/EMC design and conducted/radiated emission/susceptibility mechanism and MIL-STD-461, MIL-STD-464, and MIL-STD-810
• Ability to professionally communicate/present verbal/written technical reports to internal and external customers
• Ability to produce accurate and detailed test reports/summaries
• Ability to plan, prioritize, organize, and complete multiple projects on schedule
• MS Office/Excel, MatLab, LabView, or other related software proficiency
• Ability to work independently and with internal/external customer teams
• Capability to perform complex problem solving
• Ability to travel in support of test and other related activities

The salary range for this role is $43,000 - $75,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
