Job summary

Alco Manufacturing Co is seeking a Quality Technician to support quality and production teams in Kirkville, NY. The role involves inspecting parts, interpreting blueprints, and applying SPC to improve process capability and product quality.

The position requires knowledge of gauges, basic math, and strong attention to detail. The team collaborates across Production, Quality, and Engineering and may involve travel to customer sites as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Experience using gauges such as micrometers and calipers.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a team.
• Basic math and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Assure conformance of product in the value stream with emphasis on prevention.
• Perform PPAPs, FAIs, Control Plans, and FMEA.
• Provide technical support for capability studies and gage R&R.
• Perform first piece inspection or verification where required.
• Instruct Operators on blueprint interpretation and gauging techniques; configure SPC.
• Interface with Production, Quality, and Engineering; may travel to customer sites for sort assignments.
