Job summary

Menasha Corporation in Orion, Michigan is seeking a Quality Technician for the 3rd shift to ensure product conformance to our quality management system. You will document results and support in-process audits across manufacturing operations.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and 1–3 years related experience; able to read procedures, perform measurements, and communicate findings. You will work with manufacturing personnel to identify causes and implement corrective actions.

Qualifications

  • Strong math and measurement skills, including reading a tape measure.

Responsibilities

  • Perform hourly in-process audits of manufacturing activities and verify conformance.
  • Maintain full documentation per control plans and work instructions.
  • Identify nonconforming output, determine causes, and support corrective actions.
  • Communicate results and coordinate with shift personnel to sustain quality.

Monitors and conveys all information to other shift Quality Technicians.**Responsibilities and Duties:*** Empowerment to take responsibility for the quality of work performed.* Perform hourly in process audits of all manufacturing activities, including assembly and repair/rework operations.* Maintain full documentation, per the applicable control plan on items described above.* Identify and isolate nonconforming output discovered during in process audits. Work with manufacturing personnel and identify cause(s) and implement corrective measures.* Maintain full documentation on items described above.* Maintain full documentation, per applicable instruction on items described above.* Perform miscellaneous duties and responsibilities as directed. **Quality Requirements:**To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.**Reasoning Ability:**Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.**Physical Attributes:**While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands and fingers to handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to reach with hands and arms.
