Job summary

Fisher Barton in Watertown, WI is seeking a Quality Technician to inspect and test manufactured products, maintain accurate documentation, and ensure ISO documentation and compliance across the production floor. You will read blueprints with GD&T, calibrate gages and CMMs, record test data, participate in process audits, and drive continuous improvement through APQP and PPAP submissions to customers.

The role supports root-cause analysis and non-conforming material handling while collaborating

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 2 years’ quality technician experience in manufacturing
• Able to read and interpret blueprints with working knowledge of GD&T
• Working knowledge of statistical quality tools (trend charts, pareto, SPC, histograms, Cpk/Ppk)
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
• Able to prepare test data and document results
• Experience with APQP/PPAP documentation and quality improvement initiatives

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections and testing on manufactured products and document results
• Read and interpret blueprints using GD&T specifications
• Maintain calibration of testing and measuring equipment (gages, calipers, CMM)
• Support shop floor audits to ensure product, process, and system conformance
• Contribute to APQP (PPAP) documentation and customer submissions
• Assist in root cause analysis and continuous improvement projects
