Overview

$1.50/hr shift differential for 2nd and 3rd shifts

($21.57-$26.10)

Tests and inspects products at various stages of the production process to ensure compliance and evaluates statistical data to maintain quality and reliability of products. Responsibilities include:

Responsibilities
  • Perform dimensional inspections from customer drawings, including some GD&T and visual inspection throughout fabrication and assembly.
  • Use measuring tools such as calipers, venires, micrometers, mil thickness gauges; CMM experience preferred.
  • Maintain inspection records and other quality assurance documentation, including customer sample submissions.
  • Document and control all Non-Conforming Material; initiate and assist in resolving non-conforming product issues, including handling quarantine, on-hold, and rejected materials.
  • Coordinate with Quality, Engineering, Purchasing, and Team Leads on quality issues and reporting.
  • Lead or participate in meetings as required.
  • Develop work standards and documentation as needed.
  • Support Continuous Improvement projects.
Qualifications

Education and Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent; 6 months to 1-year related experience or training; or equivalent.

Language Ability: Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and manuals; write routine reports; communicate effectively.

Math Ability: Work with fractions, percentages, imperial and metric measurements; familiarity with geometry is a plus.

Reasoning Ability: Solve practical problems; interpret instructions in various formats.

Other Qualifications: Proficient with measuring equipment; able to read blueprints.

Work Environment

Exposure to moving mechanical parts; occasional electrical shock risk; moderate noise level. Reasonable accommodations available.

Physical Demands

Regularly stand, handle, talk/hear; frequently walk; occasionally sit, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl. Lift up to 25 pounds regularly, 10 pounds frequently, and 50 pounds occasionally. Vision abilities include close, distance, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
