Job summary

VetJobs via Ferrara is seeking a Quality Technician for our Forest Park, Illinois facility. The role requires adherence to GMPs, quality checks, and environmental swabbing, with overtime and varying start times as needed due to production demands.

Qualifications include 1 year in a food-manufacturing quality role and a High School/GED or equivalent. We offer health and dental insurance, a 401(k), PTO, and performance-based annual bonus.

Qualifications

• 1 year of quality experience within a food manufacturing environment is highly preferred.
• High school diploma/GED or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)
• Perform quality checks, conduct testing, and carry out tasks in a safe manner while following Ferrara safety methods
• Critical Control Point Checks, daily weight checks of packaging materials
• ATP/Allergen Swab testing, environmental swabbing
• Participate in GMP audits
• Conduct inspections as needed, review packaging paperwork, conduct daily checks, perform plant walk‑throughs
• Review out‑of‑specification products when necessary
• Maintain inventory of supplies, and additional duties as assigned
