The position requires inspecting parts, identifying non-conforming items, and performing root-cause analysis. You will document results and support quality planning and audits across production lines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required from an accredited institution.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Relocation assistance is not available; only candidates in the immediate area (50-mile radius) will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Inspect parts and products, document results, identify and quarantine Non-Conforming (NC) parts.
• Determine the Root Cause of Non-Conforming Parts.
• Verify First Article Inspection (FAI) of all production lines.
• Perform Control and Process audits as scheduled.
• Report inspections and audits using Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
• Create Quality Alerts and notify operators of quality issues.
• Investigate Non-Conforming Product with problem-solving techniques.
• Support pre-production quality planning and training of production personnel.
• Assist Manufacturing Engineering in machine capability studies and calibration systems.

The Quality Technician- 1st Shift offers a full time work week of 40 hours and potential overtime.

Hours: 5:00am-1:30pm.

The hourly rate for this position is $29.80 per hour.

What You’ll Do

Eaton’s CPS division is currently seeking a Quality Technician – 1st Shift. We are a leader in the design and production of critical power distribution products for many specific segments.

This position will be responsible forinspecting products to ensure they meet company and customer quality expectations.

In This Function You Will

• Perform part and product inspections, document the results, identify and quarantine Non-Conforming (NC) parts
• Determine the Root Cause of Non-Conforming Parts
• Verify First Article Inspection (FAI) of all production lines
• Perform Control and Process audits as scheduled
• Report inspections and audits using Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
• Create Quality Alerts and notify operators of quality issues
• Investigate Non-Conforming Product, use problem-solving techniques to resolve issues
• Contribute to pre-production quality planning, including developing Quality Assembly documents, attending product and process reviews and technical training of production personnel
• Support Manufacturing Engineering in machine capability studies for new and existing machines
• Support Gage Calibration System
• Comply with and ensure department compliance with Company health, safety and environmental policies

Qualifications

Required (Basic)

• High School Diploma or GED required from an accredited educational institution
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship
• Relocation assistance is not available for this position. Only candidates in the immediate geographical area (50-mile radius) will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

Preferred

• Ability to read and interpret drawings and schematics
• Associate degree in electronics, electrical engineering technology or other technical degree
• ASQ Quality Technician Certification preferred
• 3 to 5 years of work experience as a Quality Technician, preferably in the Power industry
• Six Sigma and Lean certifications and/or experience
• Statistical Process Control
• Understanding of delta-wye 3 phases transformer and resistive load bank technology

Skills

• Individual may be required to sit, stand and walk regularly
• Individual must be able to lift up to 40 pounds throughout work shift .
• Individual may be required to stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb, reach, push and/or pull.
