Job summary

Quality Technician

1st Shift – 7:00AM – 3:30PM

To help us drive excellence

• Supports the Quality Program by performing a combination of related tasks in conformance with quality standards.
• Responsible for inspection, tests, surveillance and quality operations support.
• Collects data and enters into appropriate reporting tools.
• Conducts destructive and non-destructive test on welds.
• Provides quality knowledge to supervisors and manufacturing colleagues as needed.

This hourly role is a part of our plant quality team and reports to the quality supervisor.

Required Experience

• Knowledge of welding and stamping processes, preferred.
• Able to train and deliver information to various work groups.
• Excellent computer skills and ability to learn various computer programs.
• Understanding and strong knowledge of quality systems, process control, statistical process control (SPC), control plans, work instructions, and product layout.
• Excellent communication skills as evidenced in colleague relations, team skills, and have the ability to interface directly with the customer to resolve issues.

Working Conditions

• Will regularly stand, walk, and use hands and fingers to handle or feel objects, tools, product, or equipment.
• Occasionally required to reach with hands and arms in repairing fixing, welding, or conducting inspection.
• Must regularly lift and/or move up to 15 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to focus.

This position is located at our Greenville facility in Fountain Inn, South Carolina.
