ProAmpac is seeking a Quality Technician for a 12-hour night shift in Ohio. You will perform film inspections, prepare COA data, inspect materials, and support QA processes within a safety-focused, ISO-aligned lab environment.

Ideal candidates have 2–5 years in manufacturing QC, strong math/attention to detail, and proficiency with Windows/Office tools. The role offers advancement opportunities and a comprehensive benefits package.

Formación

• Associates degree preferred with a concentration in mathematics.
• Two to five years' experience in a manufacturing environment, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Prior quality experience in a similar role utilizing testing equipment, strongly preferred.
• Candidate must have the ability to work independently and as part of a team, effective communication, and organized.
• Good computer skills, including Microsoft Windows, Word, and Excel.

Responsabilidades

• Follow all safety rules and wear PPE.
• Perform film inspection for all consumer packaging products and prepare COA data sheet for QA manager.
• Perform film inspection for retain and security products.
• Notify any problem regarding extrusion process to QA manager.
• Perform incoming material inspection for railcar and truckload resins.
• Keep lab equipment and instruments in good status; calibrate and verify per ISO requirements.
• Prepare lab result summaries and reports.
• Assist QA manager in creating work instructions and lab test methods.
• Organize extrusion process checklists and paperwork.
• Support extrusion department training for operators.
• Must be able to work scheduled overtime.

Hours:

• Must be able to work 12-hour schedule (2 days on, 2 days off, etc.) 8pm to 8am
• Availability Sunday - Saturday 8 pm to 8 am

Major Job Function:

• Follow all safety rules and regulations; wear PPE.
• Perform film inspection for all consumer packaging products and prepare COA data sheet for QA manager to review.
• Perform film inspection for retain and security products.
• Notify any problem regarding extrusion process to QA manager.
• Perform incoming material inspection for railcar and truckload resins.
• Perform daily cleaning and weekly deep clean for lab area according to AIB standard.
• Keep lab equipment and instrument in good operational status; perform calibration and verification to these devices in accordance with ISO requirement.
• Perform lab inspection and test for film brought in by QA manager and/ or Technical Manager. Prepare summary report for lab results.
• Assistant to QA manager in generating work instruction and lab test method.
• Organize and maintain extrusion process checklist and work order sheet. Maintain filing for extrusion paperwork.
• Maintain and file retain samples for extrusion.
• Support the extrusion department training activities for extrusion operators.
• Must be able to work scheduled overtime.
• All other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Successful candidates will bring with them the following requirements and skills:

Associates degree preferred with a concentration in mathematics.

Two (2) to five (5) years' experience in a manufacturing environment, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Prior quality experience in a similar role utilizing testing equipment, strongly preferred.

• Assistant to QA manager in generating work instruction and lab test method.
• Keep lab equipment and instrument in good operational status; perform calibration and verification to these devices in accordance with ISO requirements.
• Candidate must have the ability to work independently and as part of a team, effectively communicate, get along with others, positive attitude and well organized.
• Solid working knowledge of quality processes and related manufacturing.
• Ability to make independent decisions regarding quality, customer complaints, etc.
• Ability to clearly set priorities on tasks and complete in a timely manner
• Strong mathematical and attention to detail skills are a plus.
• Good computer skills, including Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, etc
• 2 - 5 years: Previous QA experience in comparable industry/field
