Job summary

Applied Composites is seeking a Quality Inspector 1 (Testing) to support the manufacture of aerospace and space-based composite structures. The role focuses on preparation and bond work of test coupons and on inline quality checks of assemblies.

Ideal candidates have 0–2 years of related experience, can follow detailed instructions, and are capable of using calipers, micrometers, and test fixtures. We offer competitive benefits and opportunities for growth.

  • Secondary certificate/high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to learn and follow step-by-step instructions.

Responsibilities

  • Performs routine visual inspection of soldered connections and mechanical inspections of assemblies.
  • Prepares and bonds test coupons.
  • Uses fixtures to accurately prepare and bond test coupons.
  • Uses bandsaws and surface grinders.
  • Performs dimensional measurements.
  • Monitors thermal cycling.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.

Job description

Applied Composites (AC) is seeking a Quality Inspector 1 (Testing) who will be responsible for focusing primarily on preparation and bond work of test coupons. This position is responsible for preparation and testing of composite test specimens to support the manufacture of aerospace and space-based composite structures.

Job Specifications:

Education: A Secondary Certificate/High School Diploma or equivalent combination of relevant education and work experience that will allow successful performance of job expectations

Years’ Experience: 0 - 2 years of relevant experience

  • Ability to make accurate measurements using calipers, micrometer, analytical balance
  • Ability to use test fixtures
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
