EDUCATION

High school diploma; quality auditor certification is a plus.

Salary

  • Starting at $24.00+ based on experience/certifications
  • External hires are eligible for a $3,000 sign-on bonus.

SUMMARY

The Quality Technician supports production and quality systems, certified operator/inspector programs, and internal special processes at the Winsted operation.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Initiate/source inspection, product release, review customer orders and specifications for compliance.
  • Administer and audit the certified operator/inspector program, including training and testing.
  • Investigate findings, document issues, and issue corrective actions.
  • Maintain drawings, specifications, and quality records.
  • Input MRB data, support training on quality issues, and support data collection and process administration.
  • Follow policies and perform other duties as assigned.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Participate in EHS programs, maintain Final Inspector status, conduct audits.
  • Support quality administration, interface with customers and suppliers.
  • Perform weld visual inspections, report on quality measures, and support shop floor production.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate protocols including EHS, SOX, and export control.
