Job description

Position Summary

The Quality Control Technician provides technical support to ensure product quality, regulatory compliance, and environmental standards are consistently met. This role performs chemical testing on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products; analyzes results and recommends adjustments as needed. The position also supports continuous improvement efforts and actively participates in Quality, Health, and Safety programs, with a strong focus on customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Follow all safety policies and maintain safe work practices in accordance with company standards.
  • Conduct testing on raw materials, production batches, and finished goods; accurately record and evaluate results.
  • Calculate and recommend product adjustments to meet quality specifications.
  • Ensure production aligns with Bill of Materials (BOM) requirements.
  • Maintain accurate inventory transactions related to batch production.
  • Calibrate, operate, and maintain laboratory equipment.
  • Prepare and review Certificates of Analysis (CoAs) for raw materials and finished goods.
  • Perform internal and finished goods audits; support ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 compliance efforts.
  • Utilize Statistical Process Control (SPC) and support root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions.
  • Collaborate with R&D and Regulatory teams on product or process improvements and non-conformance issues.
  • Prepare lab samples for testing new materials, processes, or troubleshooting production issues.
  • Maintain laboratory supplies and ensure proper inventory levels.
  • Review and update laboratory procedures and work instructions as needed.

Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or a related field preferred. Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
  • Experience: 1‑2 years of quality control or laboratory experience preferred.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Analytical thinking and problem‑solving capability.
  • Knowledge of laboratory procedures and analytical chemistry techniques.
  • Experience with laboratory instrumentation and calibration.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and systems such as SAP or similar ERP tools.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand for extended periods (up to 4 hours at a time).
  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 45 lbs.
Compensation

The expected compensation range for this position is between $40,390.00 and $59,235.00 plus discretionary bonuses. The exact compensation may vary based on your skills, experience and other factors permitted by law.
