Helmerich and Payne (H&P) seeks a Quality Technician in Tulsa, OK. This onsite role supports inspection of materials, reads specifications and blueprints, and ensures conformity to standards with NDT assistance and reporting.

Responsibilities include creating NCR/DMR reports, analyzing materials, maintaining equipment calibration, and upholding safety and quality practices aligned with H&P values.

Qualifications

• Familiar with inspection standards and NDT terminology.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications.
• Comfortable using measuring instruments and basic PC tools.
• Good written and oral communication skills.

Responsabilités

• Perform NDT and/or assist NDT Technician with tasks associated with non-destructive testing
• Create NCR and DMR reports
• Perform First Article Inspections with reports
• Conduct analyses of raw materials, in-process materials, finished goods and environmental samples, checking for quality and that they meet necessary specifications
• Monitor testing procedures and processes to ensure tests performed are done according to item specifications, protocols and standard test methods
• Interpret test results and compare them to the specifications and control limits in place while providing recommendations on the appropriateness of data
• Complete documentation necessary for the support of testing procedures, including inventory forms, data capture forms and equipment logbooks
• Ensure equipment is calibrated, validated and maintained properly and ensure safety during operation of equipment
• Assess analytical and testing methods and procedures in order to determine how they can be improved in the future

The Quality Technician will assist in examining materials and products to check for flaws and deviations from original specifications. Responsibilities include reading specifications and blueprints, making recommendations for adjustments to assembly and production processes, determining whether to accept or reject items, inspecting and testing materials and products, and reporting on inspection results.

What You Need

• Familiar with API, ASME, AWS, ANSI/ASNT
• Comfortable reading blueprints; familiar with GD&T
• Able to use/read measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, etc)
• Good PC skills: Excel, Word, etc. Able to learn ERP/MRP system
• Good written and oral communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively
