Stellar Technology, Inc. is seeking a Quality Technician in Amherst, NY to perform inspections and data entry for incoming materials and manufactured components used in pressure transducers.

Quality Technician

Full Time USA-Amherst Commerce, Amherst NY, US

Salary Range: $21.00 To $25.00 Hourly

SUMMARY: Perform inspections, visual checks, documentation review, data entry, test, and sampling procedures of incoming materials, parts, components used in the manufacturing of pressure transducers. Perform additional varied tasks related to the quality function.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Performs inspection of finished machined and assembled parts and all mechanical measurements.
• Performs in-process measurements to ensure parts are manufactured per specifications.
• Completes all necessary paperwork and documentation to ensure quality conformance and the proper movement and control of product as well as all quality related inspection requirements.
• Participates in Quality investigations and continuous improvement activities.
• Assists in preparation efforts for major customer and third-party audits.
• Works safely and actively participates in all plant safety directives while adhering to all safety guidelines and procedures.
• Ability to work overtime.
• Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School diploma or GED.
• High attention to detail and organization of documentation.
• Working knowledge of mechanical measuring.
• Able to communicate effectively with management and co-workers to promote strong working relationships and create an environment focused on teamwork.
• Flexible with work and job assignments and willing to perform any function as needed.
• Understands and demonstrates comprehension of drawings, blueprints and Manufacturing work instructions.
• Self motivated and able to work effectively and efficiently with limited supervision.
• Possess basic computer skills including database software and electronic mail software.
• Must have 20/20 vision with correction, and no color blindness, steady hands with good dexterity. (Company issued annual eye exam.)
