Job summary

NOV is seeking a Quality Control Inspector for our San Antonio facility to ensure product conformance using calipers, micrometers and gauges. The role involves documenting results and maintaining QA records in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.

The position requires a High School diploma or equivalent and at least three years of verifiable manufacturing experience, with a rotating 2‑week schedule (7:00 am–7:00 pm) and ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Three years of verifiable work experience, preferred in a manufacturing environment.
  • Flexibility to work a 2‑week rotating schedule 7:00 am – 7:00 pm.
  • Factory environment with large temperature changes.
  • Standing, walking, and bending/stooping up to 12 hours daily.
  • Repetitive movement (shoveling/sweeping/fastening) up to 12 hours daily.
  • Lifting weights up to 50 lbs. regularly.
  • Push/pull up to 12 hours daily.
  • Travel less than 10%.
  • MDA testing clearance.
  • Trained in API Q1 and ISO 9001.
  • Basic math.
  • Ability to accurately use scales, OD tape, ruler, thread height gauge.
  • Ability to adapt and be cross‑trained to learn all job duties as required.
  • Ability to learn technical repair and assembly guidelines and procedures.
  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Ability to read drawings, instructions or repair and assembly operations.

Responsibilities

  • Understand and apply quality concepts in a manufacturing environment.
  • Inspect, reject, or accept product according to visual standard, weight, tally, and other Q.C. requirements.
  • Document and keep accurate records.
  • Control the removal of monograms from non‑conforming product.
  • Wear appropriate PPE.
  • Comply with NOV policies, HSE, and quality guidelines.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
