Quality inspector monitors, tests and inspects all processes involved in the production of our product. Ensure that quality standards are met by facility. **Education, Training & Experience:**Five (5) years working experience as a quality field. Formal training in statistical process control and quality control management desired but not required. Experience with metal or plastic packaging.**Duties and Responsibilities:**1. Monitor the plant’s quality system and processes.2. Ensure product meets customer quality specifications. Knowledge of customer requirements with the ability to judge defects in printing, coatings, metal, and crowns.3. Perform inspections using a variety of inspection tools and fixtures (Calipers, Micrometers, Depth Gauges, Scales, etc.).4. Documents and reports test results.5. Utilizes processes to document non-conformances found during inspection.6. Controls non-conforming product by identifying and segregation. Example, place suspect material on hold for additional review (NMR, INMR).7. Visually inspects product.8. Verifies specified dimensions of product or material.9. Supports all manufacturing operations on a daily basis to ensure compliance with industry standards and company guidelines.10. Verify product quality within the specified parameters including weight, texture and other physical properties.11. Ensure the quality of purchased goods as well as finished goods.12. Verify and accurately document inspections, checks and tests.13. Maintain inspection checklists over processes and protocols.14. Identify the problems and issues regarding quality of the products and make recommendation to the higher authorities.15. Perform quality analysis on records and previous documentation.16. Use communication skills to communicate within quality department and manufacturing staff.17. Work overtime when needed and a rotating shift work schedule if required..18. May perform other job related duties as required defined by supervisor.19. Participate with manufacturing in root cause and corrective action.20. Participate in CATs (Corrective Action Teams) when required.21. Conducts audits of the process and facility as directed.
