Job summary

Domaille Engineering, LLC is seeking a Quality Technician to ensure the quality of aerospace and defense components. You will read drawings, inspect with calipers, micrometers, and CMMs, and review supplier certifications to verify conformance with specifications.

You will maintain records, coordinate priority tasks, and proactively identify process improvements on the production floor in Minnesota. ITAR compliance applies to this role.

Qualifications

  • Ability to read and accurately interpret drawings and specifications.
  • Proficient with manual inspection equipment (calipers, micrometers).
  • Experience operating and/or programming CMMs using PC-DMIS is a plus.
  • Familiarity with GD&T concepts; aerospace or defense industry experience is preferred.

About this position

Description:

POSITION SUMMARY

We are looking for a Quality Technician to join our team. In this role, you will ensure the quality of specific parts in accordance with established company and customer standards, providing clear verbal and written test results to management and production staff. You will read and interpret drawings, perform inspections with a variety of instruments, review supplier certifications, maintain accurate records, and coordinate tasks efficiently while proactively identifying opportunities for improvement. At Domaille Engineering, you’ll join a skilled, precision-focused team delivering high-quality solutions in aerospace, defense, and fiber optics, where every measurement and inspection drives excellence.

ITAR REQUIREMENTS

This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), which restricts access to export‑controlled information to U.S. persons. A U.S. person is generally defined as a U.S. citizen, U.S. national, lawful permanent resident, or others specifically authorized under U.S. export regulations. General work authorization (e.g., work permit or EAD) or visa sponsorship does not meet ITAR requirements.

  • Equivalent work experience considered; completion of a related two‑year vocational program with two years of relevant experience is preferred.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
  • This position is on the production floor and involves regular exposure to active manufacturing areas.
  • Appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety glasses, hearing protection, and composite or steel‑toe shoes, must be worn as required.
  • The work environment features standard plant lighting, operating machinery, and typical ambient conditions associated with a manufacturing facility.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
  • Sit or stand as needed.
  • Walking primarily on a level surface for periods throughout the day.
  • Reaching above shoulder height, below the waist, or lifting as required to reach documents or store materials throughout the workday.
  • Proper lifting techniques required.
