Job summary

Kelly in Ashland, PA is looking for a Quality Technician for a direct-hire role on first shift (Mon–Fri, 7:00am–3:30pm). The position offers competitive pay ($30–$35/hr) and benefits starting Day 1, with a focus on non-destructive testing, product inspection, and QA duties.

Responsibilities include testing and inspection using NDT methods, interpreting drawings, approvals for NCRs, and maintaining documentation and weld maps. A strong safety focus and ISO teamwork are required.

Qualifications

• Must hold current certification in non-destructive testing (VT, PT, MT).
• Familiar with quality control analysis and metrology equipment.
• Able to read and interpret engineering drawings, including GD&T.

Responsibilities

• Conduct product testing, inspection, and NDT using visual, penetrant, and magnetic methods.
• Read process sheets, shop cards, and engineering drawings to ensure quality.
• Participate in casting certification and prepare NCR dispositions documentation.
• Create weld maps and coordinate documentation/certification creation and retention.
• Maintain a clean, organized workstation and promote safety.
• Support internal ISO team activities and collaborate across QA.
• Report directly to the Quality Manager.

What’s a typical day as Quality Technician? You’ll be:

• Conducting product testing, inspection, and non-destructive testing (NDT) including visual, liquid penetrant, and magnetic particle methods
• Reading process sheets, shop cards, and engineering drawings to ensure quality standards are met
• Participating in the casting certification process and preparing documentation related to NCR dispositions
• Creating weld maps, coordinating document and certification creation/retention, and receiving/storing material certifications
• Maintaining a clean, organized workstation and promoting safety awareness
• Supporting internal ISO team activities and collaborating cross-functionally within the QA department
• Reporting directly to the Quality Manager
