Job summary

Brio Water Technology is seeking a Quality Inspector/Technician to inspect and test returned products, diagnose root causes, and ensure proper disposition of water dispensers and related components. You will document findings, assist with repairs when authorized, and maintain clear inspection logs.

Role requires 1–2 years in quality testing, basic mechanical aptitude, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. The position supports QA, CS, and warehouse teams in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or higher education required.
• 1–2 years of Quality and product testing experience.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and familiarity with small appliances.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow SOPs/work with a system.
• Strong organizational skills, ability to work in fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Receive and Inspect Sample Products/Returns
• Track returned products upon arrival
• Diagnose the root cause issue for returns
• Unpack returned units and visually inspect for physical damage (as needed)
• Test returned units and product samples for functional issues (cooling, heating, leaks, etc.)
• Identify cosmetic vs. functional defects and document findings
• Repair or Recondition Products
• Clean and repackage units as needed (for resale, parts refurbish, or scrap)
• Perform basic repairs if authorized (e.g., replacement of product components if in inventory)
• Complete inspection logs and testing data
• Coordinate with QA and CS Teams
• Report patterns of defects to Quality leadership/CS
• Communicate any missing parts or customer misuse to QA Management
• Support Warehouse Operations
• Maintain organized work area (5S)
• Support inventory reconciliation for returns stock

About the role
