POSITION SUMMARY:
The Quality Technician is responsible for supporting manufacturing operations by performing in-process inspections, final inspections, and product conformity assessments throughout the assembly and test processes. This position serves as a direct production support role, partnering closely with Assembly, Integration, Engineering, and Test departments to ensure load bank products meet customer, regulatory, and company quality requirements.
The Quality Technician actively participates in problem-solving activities, disposition of nonconforming material, root cause investigations, and implementation of corrective actions. This role requires a strong understanding of manufacturing processes, electrical and mechanical assemblies, technical drawings, and quality standards while maintaining a high level of visibility on the production floor.
This position is on-site and is performed in a manufacturing environment, with continuous presence on the shop floor. The manufacturing environment may involve exposure to varying noise levels, moving machinery, and other conditions typical of a production facility. Appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) is required in designated areas.
While performing the essential functions of this role, the employee may be required to sit, stand, lift up to 50lbs, walk, bend, stoop, twist, reach, and use hands and fingers to operate tools, equipment, and computer and time keeping systems. The position requires lifting and movement of materials consistent with job responsibilities.
