Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Company LLC is seeking an Inspector to perform inspections on mechanical and electrical components at our Warrendale, PA facility. You will follow established quality procedures, review drawings and test data, and verify receipt inspections with vendors.

This position requires technical education and certification within six months to NRC/ANSI standards. The role emphasizes adherence to Westinghouse quality systems, preparation of documentation, and meeting Level 2/Level 1

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in a technical curriculum is required.
• Substitution with recognized technical programs is permissible.
• Military technical programs (e.g., Naval Nuclear) may qualify.
• Must meet Westinghouse Level 2 per WEC 2.9 and achieve Level 1.
• Certification within 6 months to NRC 1.58 and ANSI/ASME 45.2.6 is required.

About the role:

Perform inspections on mechanical and electrical components and assemblies per drawings, specifications or established procedures.

You will report to the Quality Control Supervisor Global I&C Production & IV&V and the position will be located at the Warrendale, PA facility.

Key Responsibilities:

• Read engineering work orders and review inspection procedures, drawings and specifications to determine inspection requirements on mechanical and electrical components.
• Follow Westinghouse Quality procedures.
• Review test data from vendors to validate for accuracy.
• Inspect mechanical and electrical components / assemblies and identify defects.
• Review purchase order to complete receipt inspection.

Qualifications:

• Associate's degree in a technical curriculum.
• Recognized technical programs will be permitted to substitute for the required formal education.
• Some examples of acceptable technical programs would be the Naval Nuclear or other military program.
• Will be required to meet the qualification requirements of Westinghouse Level 2 procedure WEC 2.9 and achieve Level 1.
• Certification within the initial 6 months of employment in order to meet the requirements of NRC 1.58 Regulatory Guide and ANSI/ASME 45.2.6

We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $41,069.47 - $94,253.36 per year.
