Prism Plastics, Inc. is seeking a Quality Technician to inspect plastic products and verify conformance to customer requirements.

The role involves routine testing, documentation of quality issues, and collaboration with shift supervisors to adjust processes or halt production when needed. Typical duties include visual/dimensional inspections, reading SPC charts, data logging, and performing R&R and capability studies.

Responsabilidades

• Examine product for visual attributes and dimensional defects per QWI.
• Read SPC software via X-bar R charts, histograms, and data plots.
• Log data in SPC software and shift change log.
• Perform startup, final and in-process inspection per 4.2 QWIs.
• Learn part-specific work instructions in FAPP and suggest improvements.
• Perform final auditing on the press floor as needed.
• Read blueprints to verify product requirements.
• Perform R&R studies.
• Use measuring equipment to accurately measure molded product (CMM, calipers, micrometers, ram gauges).
• Complete LPAs or be an internal audit team member.
• Perform capability studies as required.

Responsible for completing product quality checks. Conducts routine testing and analysis of production work. Quality checks are typically reviewed for accuracy. Documents quality control issues as needed. Typically has 0-2 years of experience and works under close supervision.

Position Summary: A Quality Technician will inspect plastic products to verify product conformity to customer requirements. When required, this position must be able to work with the Shift Supervisors and/or Process Technicians in making decisions to either have process adjustments made or to shut production down.

Essential Job Functions

• Examine product for visual attributes and dimensional defects per the Quality Work Instructions.
• Read SPC software through X bar R charts, histograms and raw data plots.
• Logs all data in the SPC software and shift change communication log.
• Perform startup, final and in-process inspection activities per 4.2 QWIs.
• Learn part specific work instructions in FAPP and make suggestions to improve as needed.
• Perform final auditing on the press floor as needed.
• Read blueprints to verify product requirements.
• Perform R&R studies.
• Uses measuring equipment to proficiently and accurately measure molded product (CMM, calipers, micrometers, Ram, gauges, etc.).
• Complete LPAs and/or be a member of the internal audit team.
• Perform Capability Studies as required.

Training And Work Experience Preferred

• High School diploma or GED.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects. Ability to meet stated customer initiated deadlines.
