Boyd Thermal by Eaton is seeking a Quality Technician I to join its production team on the Lancaster site. This entry-level role focuses on manual inspection tasks and operating precision equipment such as CMMs and optical comparators to verify part dimensions.

A college degree in a technical field is helpful but not required. High school diploma is the minimum education level for this position. Experience in inspection or calibration is helpful. Attention to detail, organization, and a high degree of work ethics are essential.
This position requires the ability to read and interpret technical and legal documents, including contracts, design drawings, and specifications.
Proficiency with MS Excel and the ability to learn and operate proficiently in less common software packages is essential. Common software for this position will include MCOSMOS.
The ability to make decisions based upon incomplete data is important in this position.
The employee should be able to move items up to 50 lbs. Employee will be required to pass an annual eye examination.
The work environment for this position is on our production floor, which includes both areas of climate control and areas that are less controlled. This position may require extended periods of sitting, standing, or walking.
