Job summary

Top Quality Recruitment (TQR) is seeking a Quality Technician to perform inspections, testing, and documentation to ensure product quality. The role interfaces with Production and Quality teams to resolve issues and uphold HACCP and GMP standards.

Responsibilities include allergen testing, CCP monitoring, label reviews, and audits. Strong communication and attention to detail are essential for success in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

  • Experience in a food manufacturing QA role with HACCP and GMPs preferred.
  • AA degree in a science-related field preferred, not required.
  • Basic math skills and a keen eye for detail.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect, sample, test, and weigh product to ensure specifications are met.
  • Receive, test, and release raw materials and finished products.
  • Identify non-conforming products and initiate hold procedures.
  • Observe production processes and adjust to maintain quality.
  • Conduct allergen testing and monitor CCPs daily.
  • Perform pre-operation inspections and routine audits.
  • Support customer, SQF, third-party, and internal audits.
  • Review product labels for accuracy and compliance.
  • Uphold GMP, HACCP, personal hygiene, and safety protocols.
  • Pitch in on other QA tasks as assigned.

Summary

The Quality Technician will perform inspections and testing, document quality results, identify non-conforming material, and work closely with Production and Quality teams to resolve issues.

Key Activities
  • Inspecting, sampling, testing, and weighing product to ensure they meet specifications.
  • Receiving, testing, and releasing raw materials and finished products.
  • Identifying non-compliant products and initiating hold procedures.
  • Observing production processes and adjusting when necessary to maintain quality.
  • Conducting allergen testing and monitoring critical control points (CCPs) daily.
  • Performing and documenting pre-operation inspections and routine audits.
  • Supporting customer, SQF, third-party, and internal audits.
  • Reviewing product labels for accuracy and compliance.
  • Upholding all GMP, HACCP, personal hygiene, and safety protocols.
  • Pitching in on other QA tasks as assigned.
Preferred Skills
  • Comfortable lifting up to 60 lbs., standing, walking, bending, and climbing as needed.
  • Ability to navigate between production floor and office tasks.
  • Strong communication skills written and verbal.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Educations & Experience
  • Experience in a food manufacturing QA role with working knowledge of HACCP and GMPs is preferred.
  • AA degree in a science-related field (preferred, not required).
  • Basic math skills and a keen eye for detail.
