Job summary

  • Promote a safety-first culture and comply with environmental and safety policies.
  • Conduct process and safety audits across assembly lines and suggest improvements.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of ISO-certified QMS procedures.
  • Manage calibration and maintenance of precision metrology instruments.

Your role

As a Quality Technician at Atlas Copco Compressors LLC, you will be pivotal in delivering outstanding product quality and operational excellence that align with our company's commitment to innovation and customer satisfaction. Positioned under the guidance of the Quality Manager, you will undertake comprehensive quality assurance activities spanning from the initial receiving of materials to final product verification and special inspections.


Your daily responsibilities will include conducting meticulous dimensional, visual, and non-destructive testing inspections to ensure all components and finished products meet stringent internal and external standards. You will work collaboratively with suppliers and internal teams to verify quality compliance, resolve inspection queries, and lead corrective actions to uphold continuous improvement.


  • Perform accurate layout, dimensional measurements, and visual assessments using micrometers, calipers, and specialized gauges to identify any deviations or defects promptly.
  • Partner with suppliers by conducting detailed quality audits and inspections, providing actionable feedback and detailed reporting to support purchases and engineering improvements.
  • Support production teams by addressing inspection-related issues promptly, offering technical guidance and collaborative problem-solving to ensure smooth manufacturing processes.
  • Document and track quality nonconformance using our standardized corrective action system, ensuring timely resolution to prevent recurrence.
  • Lead root cause analyses and participate in failure investigations to identify systemic issues and implement effective corrective and preventive measures.
  • Advocate for a "Safety First" culture by proactively identifying workplace hazards and promoting environmentally sound, health-conscious, and safe work practices in compliance with company policies.
  • Conduct comprehensive process and safety audits across various assembly lines, evaluating compliance and recommending continuous improvements to enhance quality and safety standards.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of ISO-certified quality management system procedures, helping sustain certifications and industry best practices.
  • Manage calibration, certification, and maintenance of precision metrology instruments, ensuring reliable measurements with traceability and accuracy.
  • Support the Energy Management System (EnMS) team in achieving energy reduction goals and advancing company sustainability initiatives.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally on projects, demonstrating adaptability and contributing to team-driven solutions promoting operational excellence.

  • Experience: Proficiency in interpreting detailed blueprints and engineering drawings is essential. Practical experience with precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, go/no-go gauges, and thread pitch gauges is strongly preferred.
  • Self-Motivation and Work Ethic: Demonstrated ability to work autonomously with strong reliability, organization, and proactive communication skills both verbally and in writing.
  • Physical Requirements: Capability to perform occasional lifting or moving of up to 50 pounds and safely operate forklifts when required.
  • Technical Proficiency: Advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel) alongside familiarity with Quality Management System (QMS) software platforms.
  • Quality Systems Knowledge: Working knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 quality management standards is key. Familiarity with ISO 45001:2018 (Occupational Health and Safety), ISO 14001:2015 (Environmental Management), and ISO 50001:2015 (Energy Management) standards will be advantageous.
  • Industry and Technical Knowledge: Basic understanding of compressed air technology, mechanical design fundamentals, and manufacturing processes will support success in this role.
  • Education: A minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent practical experience is required.
  • Skills: Ability to confidently enforce quality standards while maintaining a collaborative approach that fosters teamwork and strong relationships with suppliers, production teams, and other stakeholders.
