Job summary

Therm-x of California seeks a Quality Technician to join the Quality Engineering team. You will support non-conformance reviews, MRB processes, and corrective actions to ensure parts meet customer needs while controlling costs.

You will collaborate with manufacturing and development teams, prepare field failure summaries, and drive problem-solving using DOE, RCA, and SPC techniques. Strong attention to detail and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

  • MRB process experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of electro-mechanical assemblies and manufacturing processes.
  • Experience with DOE, RCA, and statistical tools for problem solving.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Strong organizational skills and high attention to detail.
  • Able to work in a team or independently with guidance from the hiring manager.

Responsibilities

  • Review filed non-conformance reports and generate FA.
  • Control return material storage within RM A area.
  • Manage timely processing of RMAs to meet customer requirements.
  • Coordinate material movement for further RMA processing/repair.
  • Analyze internal/external RMAs and drive corrective actions.
  • Lead quality problem resolutions and drive CAPA.
  • Prepare and present field failure summaries and Quality Reviews.
  • Collaborate with Quality Engineering, Product Development, Manufacturing Engineering and Production.
  • Document lessons learned and communicate close-loop actions.
  • Perform other projects and duties as assigned.

Job description

The Quality Technicianwill work closely with the Quality Engineering team to ensure we deliver high-quality parts that meet our customer's needs while meeting internal cost objectives.

  • Review filed non-conformance report and generated FA
  • Control return material storage within RMA area
  • Manage timely processing of RMAs to meet customer requirements
  • Coordinate material movement for further RMA processing/repair
  • Analyzes internal/external failures (RMA), suggest corrective and preventive action to respond to customer complaints
  • Leads quality problem resolutions and drive root cause, preventative, and corrective actions.
  • Prepare and present field failure summaries on customer and field escalations. Prepare and present Quality Reviews to manager.
  • Work with Quality Engineering and Product Development, Manufacturing Engineering and Production to interpret the results of field failures and to draw conclusions and future recommendations.
  • Document lesson learned from the field failures and responsible to communicate with internal team for close loop action
  • Perform other projects and duties that maybe assigned.

Desired Skills:

  • Previous experience in MRB process will be plus
  • Knowledge of electro-mechanical assemblies and manufacturing processes
  • Project management experience and an understanding of problem-solving tools including design of experiments, root cause analysis and statistical analytical tools
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint
  • Good organizational skills & high attention to detail
  • Operate as a team or independently with hiring manager’s guidance
