Job summary

ERMCO Inc. is seeking a Quality Technician in Greeneville, TN to join the Quality team. You will perform testing, inspections, and documentation to help ensure product quality and compliance with ISO 9001:2015.

You will develop inspection reports, analyze data, and support continuous quality improvements across production stages. Strong attention to detail and ability to work with MS Office are essential; physical capability to lift up to 50 pounds is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; 2+ years of quality experience preferred.
• Lean manufacturing experience is a plus.
• Must lift up to 50 pounds and operate test equipment as needed.

Responsibilities

• Operate and perform duties in accordance with ISO 9001:2015 QMS.
• Develop and maintain inspection reports.
• Perform inspections across all production stages; prepare and maintain test data.
• Evaluate data and draft reports noting deviations from specifications.
• Identify opportunities for quality control improvements and implement new methods.
• Communicate Quality NCMR notices for nonconforming parts and document them.
• Other duties as assigned.

Summary: The quality technician works with the Quality Team to help ensure product quality by performing testing, inspections, documentation, and other assigned quality-related duties.

Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Operate and perform job duties in accordance with the ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System

Develop and maintain inspection reports

• Ensure compliance with company standards and specifications
• Perform inspections across all stages of production Prepare and maintain test data for review
• Evaluate data and draft reports, noting any relevant deviations from existing specification
• Identify areas for quality control improvement and implement new methods accordingly
• Communicate Quality NCMR notices for nonconforming parts and document them in the tracking log
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below represent the knowledge, skills, and abilities required for this position. Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds occasionally. Must demonstrate excellent organizational skills, the ability to analyze and interpret information, a solid understanding of test equipment, and experience using Microsoft programs and Microsoft Teams, including Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

Educational and/or Experience: High

school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required. Two or more years of quality experience required. Experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment is preferred. Lean manufacturing experience is a plus

Language Skills:

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to employees within the organization.

Mathematical Skills:

Ability to use basic mathematical skills to calculate heights, measurements, filling requirements, and torque requirements. Must be able to understand batch record information and accurately record and prepare complete information.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations
